A Studio Announcement

Dear Somanauts,

We hope this email finds you well, feet planted on the earth, fresh air in your lungs, and a heart full of gratitude, no matter the challenges in your life. It is from this place that we write to you today to announce that our dear Pamela will be leaving us soon. As many of you know, President Trump's sweeping cuts to federal funding has affected many, including Pamela's husband Grady, who lost his job at Table to Farm Compost in April. Being let go was a shock, but after a lot of soul searching, they have decided to relocate to Carbondale so he can pursue a full-time teaching job as an elementary school teacher.

If you have ever met or worked with Pamela, you will understand how sad we are to see her leaving our community. She has been a pillar of consistency, depth, humor, and healing for us here at Soma, and although we know she will thrive wherever she goes, we will miss her deeply.

Studio Soma will remain open, and Jen, Ashley, Nan, and Katie will do what it takes to make it a smooth transition and keep you, our dear clients, happy in the studio. Pamela's last official day in the studio will be July 25th; please stay tuned for more logistical details about any changes in your schedule.

From Pamela:

Hello to all,

Life moves in mysterious ways. It has been an honor to work with each and every one of you and to have gotten to know many of you as if you were close friends. I know that the “Soma Sisters” will take good care of you and will help you with your future Pilates/Gyro and bodywork needs. I would not be where I am today without all of you. Change is never easy and it is my hope that I might return late summer and fall for intermittent stints to see a few clients as weather allows and in my transition to a new position…TBD.

Having said all of that, if any of you have connections in that part of the world (ie, Glenwood Springs, Carbondale, Basalt and Aspen Area) we would be grateful for the introduction. I will be looking for clients to see as well as working on 1bd/1bath or “mother-in-law” housing options with a cat or a plot of land to rent for a tiny house possibility. It continues to take a village to make these moves and so we are grateful.

May you be free, whole, and happy, yours,

Katie, Jen, Pamela, Nan, and Ashley
